Minutes from July 30 Safety Meeting:

1 point person in Ramsey: Megan Callaway
1 point person in River’s Crossing: William Immonen
Safety Orientation
For students, staff and faculty
Possibilities
- Posting signs on elevators and near classrooms, maybe elsewhere
- Faculty discuss safety of building after drop/add
- Online safety module
- Mandatory like security awareness
- Include video
- Similar format to the UGA secure safety module
- Video for the different buildings
Overhual of the current Emergency manuals
Need to be different pages for different buildings
Supplies for Safety committee floor reps:
- Big Duffle bags not needed,
- maybe something small a sleek like workout drawstring bag
- Vest
- Flashlight
- Pad and pen
- Mini-first aid kit
- Walkie’s
- Weather radio
Starting Sept 3rd the 1st Friday of every month there will be a meeting at 10am for safety committee
The point people will do the following before the next meeting:
- Go over rep responsibilities with their reps
- Help finalize the floor reps and report that back
Megan is to look into having safety drills (I think that was it if not please correct)
William is to:
- Update the listserv
- Make a spreadsheet of what people have and don’t have
