Only undergraduate
students from the four partner institutions
are eligible to participate in the exchange program. Each selected
student will be awarded approximately US$4,000, used to cover most
of your costs including travel, living expenses, meals, and
language
training!
Though the program will be particularly
beneficial
to pre-service teachers, students in any major are encouraged
to apply. Many students who are majoring in music, math,
engineering, business, art (or other majors) will eventually
become teachers.
Whether you know now that you want to become a teacher, or
would like to experience a bit of what it is like,
we want to hear from you! We are looking for students with an
interest
in education, particularly
in the application of a wide variety
of technology tools in the K-12 classroom.

Students
do not have to have previous experience with computing, programming,
or any other type of technology/tool. You will also need to enroll
in one or two Portuguese language courses before you begin your
exchange - when we receive your application we will work with
you in determining the appropriate courses to prepare you for
the exchange.
Because many arrangements
need to be made, students interested in the program are
encouraged to submit an application. We
will contact you to work out any questions regarding courses
or your program of study. We are therefore interested in highly
motivated students
interested in developing valuable multicultural and technology
skills in order to solve real-world educational problems. The
application
process will be competitive
