Cultural Events

Taipei City

We will explore Taipei City to visit historical sites, museums and shopping areas such as the Taipei 101 one of the world tallest building, the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and the National Palace Museum. The National Palace Museum has one of the largest collections of Chinese artifacts and artwork in the world. We will also see a concert at the National Concert Hall and attend several sporting events such as baseball and basketball games.

Toroko Gorge

We will also travel to Toroko Gorge, one of Taiwan's premiere cultural attractions. The Toroko Gorge is a spectacular marble canyon. There are the red suspension bridges, temples set in mountains and, most famously, the Eternal Spring Shrine. The Shrine is built over a waterfall and dedicated to the 450 people who died making the Cross-Island Highway that runs along the gorge. We will take a bus to visit Toroko gorge and return to Taipei City via bullet train.

Kenting Beach

Kenting is located on the southern tip of Taiwan and boasts a tropical climate with sunshine almost everyday of the year. Kenting is also a National Park of Taiwan with many tropical plants such as palm trees and a few banana trees. Kenting's beach is perhaps the most beautiful beach in all of Taiwan. The deep blue sea gently laps the white sandy shore with no dangerous. Animal life is also abundant with shellfish and playful swarms of colorful tropical fish flourish along the shore, while larger fish from the Kuroshiu current provide sport for fishermen.
