2012

For me the trip was life changing. Not only did I meet and form a strong bond with amazing people from a completely different culture, but the knowledge I gained changed how I think about sports medicine. I am even thinking about pursuing or integrating Chinese medicine into my future career. I can honestly say that I still think about the trip every single day.

The trip to Taiwan was more than I could imagine.  The people were so friendly and I loved getting to know all of the students.  NTSU is awesome!!

So many things to do . . . so many people to meet . . . . so much to learn!!!!!    What an unbelievable trip.  It is by far the best educational and cultural trip I have ever gone on.  I was at first a little intimidated by the scope of the trip, but in the end I did not want to come back to the States.  An unforgettable experience.

2011

I’m so glad I decided to go on this little adventure to Taiwan. The host students were beyond accommodating and it was nice to travel and learn with other athletic training students. This is a one of a kind experience for athletic training students and you get so much more out of it than just schooling. I absolutely adore all the Americans I went with and I made a lot of great international friends as well. If you are even thinking about going… just do it. You won’t regret it :o)

Taiwan was an experience of a life time! I learned more than I could have imagined and gained friendships I hope to have for the rest of my life!

The Taiwan experience was truly eye opening in so many aspects. The exposure to another culture and their approach to medicine certainly helped me to grow intellectually. The most fulfilling aspect, however, was interacting with the people. I made lifelong friends across the United States and across the globe and will never forget my experiences with these welcoming and wonderful people.

It was the best experience I’ve had to date. It can’t be described in words how amazing and insightful this trip is.

2010

This trip was honestly one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. The classes were excellent but the hands-on clinical experience was phenomenal.

In a very short time, I made lifelong friends and have had experiences that I will never forget.

Great experience, you will get to interact with some of the nicest people you will meet.

Once is a lifetime experience that will be remembered and applied for the rest of your life.

I highly enjoyed this trip and it surpassed all of my expectations.

2009

It was the best and most rewarding experience in my life. The knowledge, experiences and friendships I gained while in Taiwan will be immensely valuable to me for the rest of my life.

Studying abroad in Taiwan gave me the opportunity to appreciate Chinese culture and to learn different and interesting medical techniques.

ATSA provides a cultural and learning experience unlike anything I could imagine. I have never felt so welcomed and in country before.

Overall the program was awesome. The NTSU students/faculty really makes the entire experience. The cultural trips well all great and well as all the classes.

This culture is so unique and worth all the time we spent here. The NTSU students really deserve the world for all they did for us. They helped us connect us to each other and to their wonderful culture.

2008

This was an experience of a lifetime.  Words don’t really describe it.  You will meet people you would never get a chance to meet and become close friends with them.  You will try things you wouldn’t have imagined even possible.

Definitely worth the money.  You will make close relationships with everyone you meet.

A great experience.  You will learn life lessons that could never be taught in a textbook.

I gained so much confidence in myself and my knowledge that I will be able to use as an athletic trainer.

Meeting all the new people. It was great having a mixture from around the country.  Also being able to practice athletic training in another country is a great idea.

You may never have another opportunity like this so take advantage while you can.

It sounds expensive but the trip was worth every penny.  Don’t look at the cost but the educational benefits for this trip.

Expect to be very busy with lots of cultural activities.  The student buddies were awesome as they were always there to help.

Make the most this amazing experience because all the activities (educational, clinical and cultural) were well organized and structured.  I liked that we packed a lot of activities in our time to get them most out of our experience.
