Support for Faculty International Travel

Limited support is available to augment departmental and university funding for faculty international travel. These funds are available as part of the college’s contribution for travel funded through the department and UGARF. Faculty may send an e-mail to the Associate Dean for Academic Programs with the estimated costs of the proposed travel, other sources of funds, and the amount requested from the dean’s office. Policies for international travel as outlined by the Office of the Vice President for Research should be followed:

Foreign Travel Applications

UGARF supports travel to international research meetings outside the United States. Faculty members, research professionals, postdoctoral associates, and graduate students are eligible. Funding is for round-trip airfare only, and requests are evaluated competitively with priorities based on the importance of the meeting and the significance of the individual’s participation.

UGA Quarterly Deadlines: 2nd Friday of October, 2nd Friday of January, 2nd Friday of March, 2nd Friday of June
For application requirements, see UGARF Forms .

Requests should be submitted to the Associate Dean for Academic Programs.

Generally, support from the dean’s office for international travel is limited to $500 or less.

Proposals may be made at any time.
