COE Outstanding Honors Student in the College of Education Award

Purpose and Description

This award is given to an outstanding Honors student in the College of Education.  A framed certificate will be presented at the Honors Banquet. The student also receives a membership to a professional organization or a subscription to an appropriate journal in his/her field.

Guidelines and Criteria

Eligibility

  • Graduating Honors students in the College of Education are eligible.

Nominations

  • The Director of the Honors Program will generate a list of all Honors graduates for the given academic year in early spring. Relevant department heads are asked to provide additional information such as overall GPA, participation in Honors courses, a transcript, and advisor recommendation.
  • Eleven copies of the nomination package are due in the Office of the Associate Dean for Research and External Affairs (G-10 Aderhold Hall) by February 22 each year. Should this date fall on a weekend or holiday, nominations should be submitted the next working day.
