COE Glickman Faculty Fellow Award
Purpose and Description
The College of Education Faculty Fellow Award was established in 1997 to recognize distinguished accomplishments and potential for future contributions of faculty in fulfilling the mission of the University through teaching, research, and service. This award was made possible by private gifts from current and retired faculty and friends of the College. The recipient of the award receives (a) a plaque, (b) a one-time cash award of $1,000*, and (c) a $2,000 grant for professional development. The recipient of the award is named "College of Education Faculty Fellow" and retains the title for one year. The name of the award was changed to the Glickman Faculty Fellow Award in honor of Carl Glickman, retired University professor of Social Foundations, College of Education, University of Georgia.
