Trending Placement of Graduates
Designed to respond to the growing demand for national and international training in qualitative research, this program is ideal for researchers and non-degree students who would like additional preparation in designing and conducting qualitative studies, and who may be called upon to teach qualitative research methods in their institutions. This certificate is offered on on UGA campuses.
The emphasis of the program is to provide an up-to-date overview of theoretical approaches to qualitative research, research design, data analysis and writing for varied audiences. Graduates have the skills to design, critique, and implement high-quality research and evaluation studies.
Students in the residential campus certificate program will take a minimum of 15 credit hours of graduate coursework in Qualitative Research and complete a qualitative or mixed methods dissertation.
The Qualitative Certificate Program was one of the most relevant aspects of my doctoral education. It puts you a step above the competition when it comes to positions with a research or methodological focus. I don’t know where I’d be academically had I not completed this program with UGA’s stellar faculty and it’s international reputation.
