Career Goals

With the expansion of technologies and the globalization movement, the future of education is toward the direction of cross-cultural and international collaboration and cooperation. I see this shift as an advantage for me as an international student from Taiwan. My career goal is to bridge international perspectives in education in order to benefit both sides.

Upon earning this doctoral degree, I would like to have more teaching and research experience in the United States. After doing this for several years, I would seek opportunities to visit the colleges in Taiwan. In order to achieve this goal, I would like to find a tenure track position in the university at United States as my short term goal. Throughout my career, I will work as a reflective practitioner in my academic life and always look for possibilities to improve higher education. Becoming a Fulbright scholar to contribute my expertise in a global level is my long-term career goal. In my late career, I want to serve as a consultant to both practitioners and young scholars in educational settings and write a book to share my adventures in my career.
